 A bit about me.

When I was a very young kid cars of all sorts interested me, however, growing up in America I soon came to love Ford Mustangs. I don't know if it was the raw power of the V8 that held you firmly against the seat, or just the beautiful rumble of the exhaust on idle. What ever it was I just knew I wanted one, but then a certain movie came out. That movie was Fast and Furious, as I watched these Japanese imports destroy whatever stood in their path I was bewildered for I now had a new passion and that was getting my very own Japanese Import.

Back in June 2002 my life would forever change but for the better, for this is the day I have arrived to live out the rest of my life in Australia. As I grew with age my dreams remained the same, I was set out to get my very own Japanese Import. Each day I worked harder and harder, put in more and more hours and then I found my first Japanese Import.

A 1990 SW21 Toyota MR2  AKA "The poor mans Ferrari."

Some information about the MR2 and its origins http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_MR2

This Mid engine car was designed off of the Ferrari 348 in design, with its coil-over suspension it handles tight corners without a hint of traction loss. You feel the seats hug you with each turn, and with the engine directly behind you you get to enjoy the beautiful sound of the 2.0 Litre 3S-GTE revving up. If any car is worth getting this car would be high on that list, overall it is a fantastic car if you ever wanted to know what it feels like to drive a slightly slower Ferrari.

Owning just the one car wasn't enough for me, I wanted faster. I wanted a car that was turbo charged, I wanted to hear that beautiful sound of the turbo spooling up with each rev of the engine. Money not being my strongest suit as I am currently a Student is making that dream further and further away, but to those whom wait and be patient are the ones whom smile at the end of it. That is when I purchased the newest addition to my family, a car I have wanted for more than I can remember.

1996 200sx Series 2 2.0 Litre SR20DET

Some info about the Nissan 200sx http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_200SX

Comfortable, sporty, great aggressive looks and FAST. This car is by far my favorite, housing the 2.0 litre SR20DET and the reliable Garret T28 turbo pushing out a nice 14 PSI. Now my dreams have come true, and I owe it to this car. But where there is pleasure there is pain, upon purchasing this car I have known about its little problems but because I wanted this car so much I bought it. Besides the odd dent here and there the main problems lied where it all matters, and that is under the hood. This brings us to the real Topic of this Blog, and that is Automotive car repair on a budget.
